James father was from Harrison Co KY, b abt 1805 and died in Hancock Co in 1858. I have a marriage bond for a John UNDERWOOD who married Mary Ann ADAMS 5 Feb 1835 in Harrison Co KY This bond was signed by John UNDERWOOD and Joel FIELDS. I am trying to determine whether this is the father of James and if Mary Ann is his biological mother. John UNDERWOOD married second wife Mary Jane KENNEDY, in 1847, dau of Thomas KENNEDY. Thomas KENNEDY and family were living in Brown Co, Huntington Twp, OH in 1830 and are shown on the 1840 census of Buck Crk Twp, Hancock Co IN.
