Does a list of Brown County Infirmary residents for the early-to-mid 1850s exist? I have found a very few records of indenture/apprenticeship for Franklin Township. Two sources which "bound out" children to Brown County families in the late 1840s-50s were the Brown County Infirmary and the Cincinnati Orphan Asylum. Finding the Infirmary residents listed in the 1850 or 1860 census would not be helpful to me, as my great-grandmother was still living with her father in 1850 in Campbell County, KY and by 1860, was living with the family in Arnheim to which she had been apprenticed. Thanks, Buffy
Speaking of relatives from Brown County (or Clermont County) living over in Campbell County around 1849-1850, what was going on in Campbell County about then that would have attracted people to live there? My James Tinley/Finley Jefferson Johnson of Laurel in Clermont Co. and later P.O. New Harmony & P.O. Feesburg in Pike Twp. Brown Co. OH moved over to live in Campbell Co. KY 1849-1850.
