Richey Liming deep fried a zillion fish for sandwiches while he bantered with his resturant-pay lake's customers. And when he sold to the Germanic people ,who added a peach cobbler upside down desert to the menu, Richey lived nearby as a real estate broker,and as a Liming genealogist. Richey showed me,on the hood of his car,once,a 6 inch stack of family group sheets intended for 'the book". I'm sure "the book" was delayed several times. I don't know that "the book" was ever published. I was at an small state auction once that Richey's Dad attended,and was buying at. Now,old O.E. Liming bought many years at farm auctions for his farm equipment business,and he needed a sly method of bidding. Anyway,this particular auction was about over,and a handfull of us were inside the house while the oil heating stove was being auctioned. I waS SURE OLD O.E.Liming as bidding, but I couldn't see how,so I moved behind auctioneer Harry Lucas to see how. O.E. had devoloped the ability to blink one eyelid while the other stayed open,and from the auctioneers view,the bid was most visable,while from the side,nothing could be seen. Upstairs someplace are the sales reciept's from my uncles farm auction in the '40's,and from O.E. Liming was a contribution 'to the widow [my aunt]. She lived within a mile of Clover Methodist the pioneer Liming'sattended in the 1807 era.
