Looking for any info on early McCormick's in Brown Co., Ohio. I have John E. McCormick b. 1788 in Pa. living in Bracken Co., Ky. from 1809. In 1810 census for Bracken Co. there is listed a John McCormick (age 26-45) and a James McCormick (age 26-45). James is gone thereafter but John stays, marries Mary Anderson of Mason Co., Ky. in 1809, and dies in Augusta in 1868. John's son William B. b. 1814 graduated from Medical College of Ohio in Cincinnati in 1837 and practiced medicine in Lewis Twp, Brown Co., Ohio through mid 1850's before going back to Bracken Co. I'm wondering if John E. McCormick has any roots in Brown Co., Ohio. Anybody with any thoughts on this matter please advise. Art Miller, Louisville
