I am trying to find informaton about the Wilkes (Wilks) family and Perkins family. Miles Wilks amd Maria Perkins were married in Brown County 10 Nov 1836. They are listed in the 1850 Census for Lewis Tsp. along with two children, Leander and Emma. In the 1860 census Maria is listed with the two children. Then in 1870 Leander is shown with Maria and his wife and son. I am guessing Miles died sometime between 1850 and 1860. Leander served in the 188th Ohio Volunteers.
