Purdy I have was born 25 March 1852, and died 19 August 1925 in Brown County. His first wife was Nancy Clutter who died before 1900 and, in ca. 1903, he married Louisa ?. I do not have any more information on her. I have Henry's death certificate and his son Charles E. Purdy's marriage and death certificates. His son was married to my grandmother's sister Molly Gooden in Mercer County, Illinois, but when she died as a young woman he went back to Brown County where he married again, but later divorced. He died there 21 September 1920. Frank O. Purdy gave the information for both Charles E. and Henry M.'s death certificates. Do you know who he is? Henry's parents, according to his death certificate, were Thomas Purdy, b. OH, and Lucinda Cook, also b. OH. I don't have a lot on the family but I happened to see your query on Henry and I'll be happy to give you copies of what I do have.
