Civil War military records show his post office at time of enlistment in 1864 was Aberdeen, Ohio and that he was a carriage maker. Also know his father was born in Maryland and mother in Pennsylvania. Looking for parents and siblings names. 1860 Federal Census for Aberdeen does not show any Carrolls so I figure they were in another Brown County township probably near Aberdeen between 1860 and 1864. Any assistance would be appreciated.

    1. [OhBrown] Lutheran Cemetery look-up, Arnheim
    2. Carole Johnson
    3. I am in Georgia trying to locate information regarding John Lewis WOLFE born December 28, 1878; died in Hamilton County, Ohio on June 15, 1971. According to his death certificate he was buried at the Lutheran Cemetery in Arnheim, Ohio. The funeral director was Denman Funeral Home in Silverton, Ohio. His death certificate further states that Fred WOLFE was the father and Mary MULLER was the mother. The informant on the death certificate was the second wife, Ada Gelter WOLFE According to the 1880 census for Brown County there was a J. Lewis WOLFE of the correct age living with his parents Frederic and Mary WOLFE. A Jacob MILLER, age 54 was living with them. A few homes down on the 1880 Brown County census was a Lewis WOLFE, age 57. He was apparently living with this second wife and her children as all children were listed as "step". A further assume that this was my John Lewis Wolfe's grandfather. I suspect this is the family I am looking for. I know that John Lewis Wolfe was Lutheran and am assuming he wanted to be buried in Brown County with his family. Questions: Would someone PLEASE do a cemetery look-up for these individuals: Frederic WOLFE, born about 1846 Mary WOLFE, born about 1852 Jacob MULLER (MILLER), born about 1826 John Lewis WOLFE, born 1878; died 1971 Ada WOLFE, died after 1971 Lewis WOLFE, born about 1823. THANK YOU, Carole

My information on this line is virtually zero, so what you have is not much help. I'm quite surprised that there has been no response to my plea for cemetery and church information. I will need to try and contact a genealogical group in Brown County, I guess. My ancestor, Joseph Genoways(Jinoways, Genouves) is supposedly bured in the Indian (or Old Pioneer) cemetery which is located on the grounds of the Ursuline Convent. I noticed that you are researching Eubanks which is a name that is mentioned in a family document pertaining to Joseph Genoways. I have started documenting the information that I have gathered over the last couple of months on my site. The 'Van Landingham letter' mentions the Eubanks name. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~charliecox/genoways/ While searching at the Cincy library for cememtery information I noted cemeteries where descendents of these surnames were buried. There are 3 Eubanks in Ebenezer cemetery: Sarah (wf John) d. 12/23/1882 John O. b. 11/22/188 d. 12/4/1884 John G. b. 9/21/1831 d. 11/23/1871 The churches are St. Martin's and St. Patrick's. 1. [OhBrown] John McCormick
    2. Arthur Miller
    3. I recently found biographical info for John McCormick in the family files at Brown Co. Historical Society, as follows: "John McCormick b. 7/9/1756 in Ireland, died 1/23/1861 in Brown Co., Ohio, buried Adams Co., Ohio. He married Christena Hillegas 1794 in Harrisburg, Pa. and served in 3rd Battalion of Cumberland Co., Pa. during Rev. War. Children: Sarah, Enoch, Nancy, James, Catherine, Susanna, John, Isaac, Samuel and Conrad." Can anyone shed any more light on this John McCormick? Could he be related to the John McCormick from Pa., wife Hannah, died 1837 in Brown Co. and children Crawell, William, James, Sarah and Mary? I am trying to determine if my John E. McCormick (b. 1788 in Pa. who came to Bracken Co., Ky. at least 1806, md. Mary Anderson of Mason Co., Ky. in 1809, died 1868 in Bracken Co.) was related to either of these John McCormicks. My John's son was Dr. Wm. B. McCormick b. 1814 in Bracken Co. but was in Higginsport, Lewis Twp., Brown Co. off and on until his death in 1904. Thanks for any input. Art Miller, Louisville

McCormick (age 56) with wife Anna Maria and children Lide, Lucy, John and Florence. In addition, his son James L. (29) and wife Maria with son Harry probably would have beem listed separately.
