My records show she married Isaac Waits April 9, 1874 in Peoria County Illinois (where the family moved probably in the mid-1850s), so she is most likely not the Elizabeth Potts you asked about.

St. Patrick's address is P.O. Box 279, Fayetteville, OH 45118 (located at 130 Stone Alley, Fayetteville, OH 45118). I spoke to the pastor, Fr. Gardner, not long ago about some family/area history. He informed me that three parishes in Brown County -- St. Patricks, St. Martins, and Holy Name -- would be merging together as St. Angela's Parish, but each church will remain open as a chapel for Sunday services. All records for those three churches will now be held under the new name. I'm not sure what the address for it is, but you could probably find it on the archdiocese's website, www.catholiccincinnati.org.

I believe his line comes from KY but I believe I have found them in OH on Brown, Union, OH 1850 Census. James Boggs 60 Mrs. Boggs 55 Albert 14 Jefferson 12 Silas 10 Ellen 18 all listed as being born in OH. I believe a neighbor or friend, or child may have given the info to the census person (mothers name is listed as Mrs ). I believe that this family also had two more sons Charles and James found on the same census with their families. James the possible son moves to Monmouth ILL and neighbors to a family by the name of Olmsted. My Jefferson who is my husbands great grandfather is married to Drucilla OLmsted who is the daughter to James's neighbor and I find Jefferson on the 1870 census in Monmouth ILL. On the census I find Jefferson and James both born in KY. On the 1850 Census I find both James and Charles born in KY. I feel that the this boggs family moved to OH from KY and settled for a period of time in Brown, Union OH. I need supporting information for my find on Jefferson above and possibly the name of his mother to verify I have the right family for Jefferson. We believe his mothers name was Margaret Campbell which is listed on his death record. Can any one help? Claudia from Fresno, CA

HI: I'm researching the family of MOSES BERRY, who moved to Brown County after 1880. His wife was MARIAH (nee PRIOR), and they had two children, ARTHUR and BELLE. I'm trying to find out about Arthur's wife, ADA (or ADELIA) BOWMAN. She was raised by her aunt ELIZA (nee COWAN), who was also from Brown County, who married WILLIAM EMMONS, who was from Nicholas Co., KY. The research problem I'm having: Ada was named as William's niece in the 1880 Census. I would really like to find Ada's mother. The COWANS lived in Brown County in the 1860 Census (WILSON COWAN/COWEN was from Tenn.). So where were her parents, MARY (?) I think that was her name, and THOMAS BOWMAN, said to be born in KY? If you are researching any of these 3 surnames in Brown Co., please let me know. I don't have a lot of info to trade due to the sketchy info but can offer some facts about the families. Thanks, KBerry
