(that is where most of the genealogical info. is anyway) and post the indexes and try to share some of this info. I didn't feel like I was utilizing all this info. before. LEVI STARKEY was born 25 Dec 1832 and was s/o William STARKEY of Montgomery Co., MD, who came to Ohio in 1831and had 4 sons and 4 daughters. Levi was married to Susan ELLIS, d/o Elisha ELLIS (the less) and he now lives near the town of Flushing, where he is a justice of the peace, having been elected to that post in April, 1878. Mr. Starkey has taught school for 25 years and served as township clerk continously for 11 years. I have reworded this and the way it is worded in the book, it is not clear if Levi or his father had 4 sons and 4 daughters. I do not know what "the less" means after Elisha Ellis' name either. The book: "Levi Starkey, Esq., soon [sic] of William Starkey, of Montgomery Co., MD, who came to Ohio in 1831, had 4 sons and 4 daughters." I think it was supposed to mean the father had these children. -- Bonnie Burkhardt <burkhard@flash.net> <bburkhardt@juno.com> Let the threads that weave meaning through our yesterdays strengthen the tapestry of our tomorrows.
