Here is what it has to say about Alexander McHenry: He was a private in Co. D 1st Regt. O.V.I., age 22 (at time of entering service? I don't know), enlisted 10 Jun 1846, record of service was 1 year and he died at Camargo, Mexico. It also states that Co. D was recruited at Portsmouth, OH on 1 Jun 1846. There is also a history of the Regiment in here. Let me know if you want more. I have an ISP problem and have been accessing my e-mail on the web site with another ISP. Slow going this way and I am way behind on managing my e-mail. Bonnie Burkhardt <burkhard@flash.net> <bburkhardt@juno.com>
