Bonnie, I also have James A. Caldwells "1880 History of Belmont & Jefferson Counties" That I purchaed from Higginson book Co.. I have no idea about the "Watkins". Could this be a different publisher that printed the book?? I am also requesting info from the list on how to perserve old books. I also have a first printing of James A. Caldwells, 1880 History of Belmont & Jefferson Counties. The pages are tattered and the and the binding is coming loose. I thought about having it rebounded, but did not want to rid of the original cover. Right now is is kept in a box with acid free paper wrapped around it. Any help would be much appreciated!!
