Is there any other places I can look to find birth or death records, since > he was born and died too early for court house records? Thanks for any help > you can give. Bev [LeSeur] Galigher bgaligher@hotmail.com > Bev, The only thing I found for LeSEUR was a marriage in 1856. From Wes Cochran's transcription of "Belmont Co., OH Marriages, 1850-1870" George F. LeSeur m. Rachel Jane Brown 11 May 1856 (Rachel is a resident of Belmont Co.) Informant: Calvin LeSeur. Again, from transcriptions done by Wes of the 1860 and 1870 Belmont Co. census, I do not find any LeSeur. In the 1850 Belmont Co. census transcription done by Wes Cochran, I found two BROWN families with a Jane and a Rachel. I only checked Pease Twp. as that is where Martin's Ferry is located. 1036-1051 John Brown 46 Eng Miller Allace 44 Eng Esther 22 Eng Ann A. 20 Eng Jane 16 OH Joshua 11 OH Thomas T. 6 OH E. J. WV? You can maybe determine which Brown family MAY be yours by naming patterns of William's & Wilhelmina's children. -- Bonnie Burkhardt <burkhard@flash.net> <bburkhardt@juno.com> Let the threads that weave meaning through our yesterdays strengthen the tapestry of our tomorrows.
