I need some advice. Today I fully intended to go to the Grandview Christian Cemetery southeast of Armstrong Mills in Washington Township, Belmont Co. to take pictures I hoped of Nicholas Monroe's tombstone. He was my fourth great grandfather. While taking pictures of the Old Presbyterian Cemetery behind the Methodist church is Beallesville a man told me that he didn't think it was safe for a woman alone to go into that area to take pictures and that I needed several or a man with me. I have been all over Monroe Co. taking cemetery pictures down in Perry Township and that area without a problem and had just been at the Harmony cemetery south of Beallesville without any fear. What I need to know is there a real reason I can't do this or is he being over cautious? I am here in the area from outside of Chicago. Came last year and did some areas I needed and was wanting to fill in some more holes, but guess I can't. Please advise me. I did drive down to Armstrong Mills and look around the area to kind of see where they had lived.
