Hi, My ggrandfather worked for the Lorain Coal and Dock Co, Wheeling Creek mine. My grandmaother, Edith TROUTEN grew up in the company housing. I am looking for more information about the area. I am told that the mining companies often had their own records concerning families and possibly photos of the workers. Would anyone know if these records are archived anywhere? My ggrandfather's name was Frank TROUTEN and he was in charge of the mules. I have a couple of pictures of the Wheeling creek company housing 1929 to share with those who are researching the same.
