I find the conversation about cemetery safety quite interesting, and glad it took place. I was in Belmont County about a year ago, and went to 2 cemeteries. Taggert, and one in St.Clairsville, the name escapes me at the moment. My biggest concern, especially at Taggert, was stepping in a hole and breaking my leg, because it is so isolated. The other one was in town, and very quiet. In hind sight, I think it would be a good idea not to travel alone. It is a sad commentary on our times, that we can't feel safe any where, and even sadder that so many people, even as peaceful a group as genealogists, think they have to go around carrying guns.
