Nothing further is known about her, but suspect she may have died soon after 1866. The reason for this conclusion is information that appears in the civil war pension file for Alfred H. Powell. However, his home was in Bridgeport, Belmont Co., Oh. He enlisted 30 August 1861 and served with E 15 Ohio Infantry; later served additional time. He filed an application for a pension in 1883 but was denied because he had no widow and no child under the age of 16. On 20 Oct 1883 his age was given as 42, a resident of Bridgeport, Ohio. He died 15 July 1884 and was buried with Masonic-Knight Templar-honors--location not stated. Was there only one Alfred H. Powell from Belmont County? Do any cemeetery inscriptions include Ann E.
