Hi, I am looking for any books on Belmont County, OH like abstracts of wills, land deeds, cemetery transcription books etc. that include a James CLARK of Harford Co., MD and York Co., PA who married with his daughters Nancy and Jannet who married Mitchell brothers from York Co., PA... Chris, There is a trustee of the Scotch Ridge Cemetery who has read all the readable markers in this cemetery. Paul Pickens in Martins Ferry, OH. Sorry, I have lost his phone number, but I am sure he is in the directory. He can also tell you if your family member was a member of the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church for which he has records that go back to sometime in the 1800s. They still have church services there when the weather permits (it is at the top of a very steep hill). If this cemetery has not been published, it might be a good idea if someone in Belmont co might try and persuade him to have his data posted to the Belmont GenWeb page. Of course, it would have to be copywrited to him. I felt like I was bothering him when I asked my questions, so, maybe he would be greatful to have it published.
