In the Belmont Co., OH 1850 Census, Isaac VARNER, age 42, is married to Phoebe A., age 32, both born in Pennsylvania. They have has 7 children, one named Letitia. Some believe this is Phoebe Ann CLARK. Who is this Phoebe? Could her parents be Abraham and Letitia WILLIAMS CLARK? I have an 1887 letter from John Joseph CLARK, son of Abraham and Letitia CLARK, that refers to his sister, Phoebe Varner, but can find no other proof.
