    2. Thursday, August 9, 1906 FORMER COUNTY BELMONT BOY The wedding ceremony uniting Dr. Clinton M. SCATTERDAT and Miss Vivian WATT as husband and wife was performed at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. MOORE, by the bride's uncle, Rev. Frank C. COLVIN, of Jonesville, Michigan. The Lohengrin march was played during the ceremony by Miss Bertha HOWELL. The ceremony was wonderfully beautiful and impressive. Dr. SCATTERDAY is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. SCATTERDAY of Kelsey, Belmont county, widely known and highly respected people. He is a graduate of Franklin college and of the Ohio Medical University. He is located in Freeport and is having a lucrative practice in dentistry. Mrs. SCATTERDAY is the daughter of Prof. George H. WATT, Professor of Pharmacy in Washington State College at Pullman. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University and an accomplished young lady. Both are exceptionally fine young people and have the best wishes of all that life to them may be all they wish. --Freeport Press At Quaker City, Messrs C. S. and Carl WRIGHT have sold their patent rights in an oil and gas drilling machine which they invented and which is said to be a good thing, to the Standard Oil Company for a goodly sum and the Messrs. WRIGHT have been employed by the company to go to Toledo to superintend the manufacturing of the same on a large scale. D. M. McCLANAHAN, the liveryman, has purchased the outfit of Henry DUCKER, consisting of horses, rigs, and harness, and has added this to his own stable. He has also taken Mr. DUCKER into his employ. Quite a good sized crowd attended the lot sale Saturday in the Roselawn addition to St. Clairsville. Just twenty lots were sold and all brought fair prices running from $200 up to $400. This last notice seemed quite appropriate, given last weeks election--- Voters should note that in voting for county candidates there is no such thing as voting a straight ticket. Each candidate the voter wishes to vote for must be marked individually. Nancy Reynolds in TN Researching: McDONALD, WOOD, CURTIS, RYLAND, McGUIRE, RIGGS
