    1. LOOKING FOR JAMES DILLON POSSIBLE FATHER OF WILLIAM DILLON
    2. Perry Adams
    3. I have been searching for the parentage of William DILLON born in 1822 in OHio for many years without any luck. I keep coming back to the possibility that William may have been the son of James DILLON who is shown in the 1840 census for Monroe County, Perry Township with a male between the ages of 15-20. James was between the ages of 60-70 and born in MD in the 1850 OH Monroe County Census in Perry township. In the 1830 census for Belmont County Somerset township is shown a James DILLON family that has a male between the ages 5-10 which would also match the age of my William DILLON. The James DILLON is shown between the ages of 40-50 that fits in with the James Dillon in the 1840 and 1850 census for Monroe County. Is it possible that the James DILLON in Belmont County in 1830 census is the same James DILLON in Monroe County in 1840 and 50? Then in the 1820 census for Belmont County for Kirkwood township is shown a James DILLON between the ages of 26 and 45 that could be our same James Dillon. My question is: Could all these James DILLON's be the same man and could he also be the father of my William Dillon born in 1822 and shown in the 1850 census living in Monroe county, Green township with his wife Elizabeth (??) and their three sons: Abraham, Henry and John.? I wonder if anyone can shoot down my theory or help support it. Thanks for your help. Perry Adams
