I am looking for information on Sarah J. Crumley and James W. Edwards who were married in Belmont County on 27 February 1868. Sarah was the daughter of John Crumley and Eleanor Gray, who were also married in Belmont County and, at the time of the 1850 census, were living in Colerain Township. Eleanor died 18 July 1851 and is buried across the county line at the Seceder Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Jefferson County. In 1860 John Crumley, daughter Sarah and son George were living with John's father in Harrison County. Sarah married James Edwards in Belmont County and in 1880 they were residents of Colerain Township. She was born c. 1845 and James was born c. 1847/8. They had at least two daughters, both born in Belmont County: Eliza Ellen, born 29 August 1869 and Mary Jane, born 8 August 1871. I have checked the 'Tombstone Inscriptions of Belmont County' book without finding them. Does anyone know whether James and Sarah appear on a subsequent census or if they are buried in Belmont County? If they are, I would presume they would be in Colerain Township, or perhaps they, too, would be across the line in Jefferson County. I don't have access to that book. --Larry Dickerson
