Thanks for answering. I am trying to find some descendants of this family. Judith's maiden name was Lappin and she was a sister to my great great great grandfather. I think Judith died before 1860. Joseph was first married to Hannah Harry in 1825 in Belmont Co., OH. They had two children William, born 1826 and Sarah, born 1828. Hannah died and then Joseph married Judith Lappin in 1831 in Guernsey Co., OH. They had John, Knight, Elizabeth, Thomas C., Hannah, Mary J., Rachel & Ruth A. After Judith died he married Elizabeth Denbow Wise and had Levi, Rebecca J., Anna Marie and one unnamed. He died about 1868 in Monroe Co., Ohio. I have only been able to trace two of these 15 children and Knight followed an aunt to Fulton Co., Illinois where he died young and the other was Thomas Clinton Fisher who was the first mayor of Chesterhill as well as a coroner and a soldier in Civil War. Joseph was from a long line of Quakers and his first marriage was to a Quaker women. He then married Judith, whose mother was Quaker, but evidently she wasn't. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. If these folks were Quakers, have you searched for info about them in Quaker meeting minutes?
