Hello, Listers: I have a CD of the exact images of the 1890 (June) "Special Schedule US Census, Surviving Soldiers, Sailors, & Marines, & Widows, etc." for Belmont Co OH. For the most part, these are Union military men, but a few Confederates are listed accidently, then marked over; some of these can still be read. I'll be happy to do lookups. The list is broken down by twp: Barnesville, Belmont, Bridgeport, Colerain, Flushing, Goshen, Kirkwood, Martins Ferry, Mead, Pultney/Bellaire, Richland, Smith, Somerset, Union, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Wheeling, & York. There is no alphabetical listing of the persons. In order to search for your person, I'd need to know which township to check, and the complete name of the person. The items listed for each person are: name, rank, company, name of regiment or vessel, date of enlistment, date of discharge, length of service, PO address [often blank], disability incurred, and remarks.
