Char, Time Warner is sponsoring a 'Save Our History' grant award in Ohio. The Jackson County OGS chapter was fortunate to be chosen as one of 5 finalists and is the only genealogical society or cemetery project to be nominated. Although all 5 projects are worthy recipients, PLEASE take the time to vote for the James Cemetery Restoration Project. The only hope we have is for the genealogy community to unite with us in voting as the 'competition' is based in much more highly populated areas like Columbus, etc. If awarded the grant, we will use 100% of the money towards purchase of the fence needed to enclose the cemetery to protect it from further destruction. Cemetery repair work is ongoing. Please forward this to other genealogy list, relatives and friends and ask THEM to vote as well! Thanks to all who have voted so far. Voting ends FRIDAY!
