Jerilyn, Oh, I hope you can put those STARKEY families together! Am also curious about Mary E. STARKEY who was supposedly born in Moundsville, (W) Virginia, in 1817. I'm thinking she was the daughter of John STARKEY and Sarah COLLINS, married in Belmont County in 1815 (I think...it's late and I'm too tired to go look it up). My cousin hasn't responded back when I've asked him to check on Mary's birth place in the subsequent censuses. He is very resistant to letting go of family traditions. So if I have time, I'll look up the census records on Ancestry and see for myself...and let you know. In the meantime, anything you can compile on the STARKEYs in this area, I'd be very grateful if you would share. Hope all is well in your "neck of the woods." Lorraine lorraineq@juno.com P.S. I'm getting discouraged about publishing more books as I haven't seen a royalty check in at least a year and probably closer to two. It's not a lot of income, but it helps. And I'm not sure I'm willing to put all those hours into preparation if at least that much doesn't come back. But I hope they've been of some help to you in your research!
