The earliest mention I can find of the surname Ruble, in Belmont Co, is a David Ruble, who served a JP....for the year 1802-3. David also appears on the 1810 Belmont Co tax list, and lived in York Twp. The only other Rubles I find, in early Ohio tax records were John and Samuel, who appear in the 1814 tax list of Cuyahoga Co. The only Maring I find in Ohio Early Tax records, is a Philip Maring, is in the 1825 Richland Co tax record. Sandra .
