Last Friday we drove to St Clairsville, I was looking for my great grandmothers (Ellen Pascoe) marriage license. I had the date, taken from my great grandfathers Civil War papers, 09-12-1886, Somerton, Belmont Co Ohio by Rev Edward Ellison. Of course there was nothing there, not a big surprise because I have found out that my GGF was married 5 times without the benefit of a single divorce, and in 1910 at least 4 of the wives were still alive. It probably won't help any but is there a way of tracing my GGparents through the minister who married them? Anyone know of any affiliation of Rev. Edward Ellison with any church? Edward Ellison was the minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church , in St Clairsville, from 1865-1866.. (the ministers of this church stayed only for a year, for some reason) Sandra " Last Friday we drove to St Clairsville, I was looking for my great grandmothers (Ellen Pascoe) marriage license.
