    3. You may want to consider another given name for the Skinners you mention.....I checked for all these folks in the THE CENTENNIAL HISTORY OF BELMONT COUNTY, by McKelvey, and came up with the following. "Kinsman Skinner was born in 1813, in Calvert Co, Md, and died in Belmont Co, Ohio in 1889. In 1853 he came here and located in the vicinity of Barnesville, engaged in Farming. HE was a member of the Methodist Church. His wife, Isabel Fowler, was born in 1814 in Calvert Co, Md and died in 1883." There is more on their family, but it sure appears that these are the folks that you believe raised the Robinson children.....as Isabell Skinner had been a Folwer before marriage, it is possible that she could have been a sister to Elizabeth Fowler......and, by the way, Isabell named one of her daughter Elizabeth, too......for her sister? The above should give you some hints on where to look (Barnesville), and a religion to consider (Methodist)...and don't forget - Kinsman and not Kinsey (odd that you should have called them kinsmen, and to find his given name WAS Kinsman......). I checked THE STORY OF BARNESVILLE OHIO 1808-1940, by Sheppard, but no mention of your folks, although there were still Skinners there, in the 1920s...just nothing on earlier ones.
