John Calvert married Sarah Daniel in Belmont County, OH. According to her obituary published in Appanoose County, IA, Sarah was born in VA in November, 1809. Belmont County marriage records list her as Mary Daniel when she married John on November 13, 1828. It would appear that Mary's father was Samuel Daniel (m. Sarah Hunt) as he was the only Daniel living in Belmont County as of the 1830 Federal Census. Samuel Daniel was a Quaker who moved to Belmont County, OH from Loudon County, VA. His eldest daughter, Matilda, married John Calvert's brother, Jacob in 1834 in Belmont County, OH.. Problem: Samuel Daniel does not have a daughter named Sarah or Mary who were born in 1809. Samuel's daughter Mary Ellen was born February 23, 1822. His daughter Sarah Anne was born January 9, 1816. Samel's brother, William Daniel (m. Jane Love), has daughters of that name, but I do not have dates for their births and William does not appear to have moved to Belmont County until after 1830.
