I am trying to find the parents and birthplace of Nancy Sheppard, b. about 1798, who married Fredrick Amrine on the 1st of March, 1817. I have the Armine line, but no one has found the Sheppard background. There are other Sheppards in Belmont at that time, but they don't seem to have a Nancy. Can anyone help with this one? Hi Sean - not directly, I don't have them myself, at least not that early, but I ran across them too; I think they were next door neighbors or something of my Noble TAYLOR 1776-1848. I think their founding father was a Nathan - probably Nancy's grandfather. But what I want to say is, look for Anne or Anna - Nancy at that time was often (usually?) a nickname for one of those. Jan
