My name is David Hinton and I am seeking information on my ggg-grandfather William Hinton who lived in Belmont County in the early 1800's. He was born in Maryland in 1764 and married Rachael Sheppard Sept 17, 1811. They had 4 children: Josiah ( my gg-grandfather),Lydia, Vina, and Mary. It is my understanding that William may have died in Belmont County in 1848. I am seeking evidence of that event and confirmation from census sources that he did in fact live in Belmont County in 1830 and 1840.
