My John was born in Ireland and I thought he might be in his 40s during the Civil war Robert was my grandfather and I know nothing about him I got his Civil War papers and it said his Mother and Father were from Belmont County and their names were John and Elizabeth Im the youngest and Robert died way before any of us were born I ordered that book by J Caldwell about people in Belmont and Jefferson county but they sent my money back Anything you might have Id appreciate Thanks Jean

    3. A bit of Caldwell information that I found in my "Notes"--John Lewis was my Grandfather, and looks like he and the Caldwell boys were have a bit of a time.. Belmont County, Chronicle July 23, 1874: Thos.
