Hi, Randi, The only Copeland I have is Sarah Ann Copeland (Couplin) born 10/26/1817 Ohio Possibly Mt. Pleasant. However her daughter Maria Jane was born in West Virginia. Descendant's group record says Sarah's father was David Copeland and mother Ann. Sarah disowned for marrying Enoch Berry 6/27/1842. Note says Enoch may have been married before. Sarah/Enoch had several children, all scattered among neighbors and relatives in 1850 and 1860. Apparently both were dead by then. At one point I noticed that Sarah's sister had at least one of her children but I didn't make a note of her married name. She was a Copeland, though. One of the children was Maria Jane, born 11/26/1846 in Wheeling WVA died Somerton 2/23/1917. That's all I have and I'm just guessing that Sarah's husband Enoch Berry must have been related to my Berry line since my ancestor fostered their daughter, Maria Jane. For those researching the name Copeland, I looked in the Ohio Quaker records and see that "Sarah Ann Berry (form. Couplin)"...so, that's one to keep in mind....this was from the Somerset mm, in Belmont Co
Thank you Jae, I will see if this fits into my tree. Thanks again, Randi Jae BROWN <jberry@indy.rr.com> wrote: Hi, Randi, The only Copeland I have is Sarah Ann Copeland (Couplin) born 10/26/1817 Ohio Possibly Mt. Pleasant.
