    3. There are many references to the Grier family in the 1908 Centennial Souvenir History of Barnesville,Ohio 1808-1908. Brothers John and Henry Grier came from Fayette Co Pa . John was to settle just east of what is now known as Barnesville in 1800.THe first election ever held in the township was at his cabin. Henry came to the area in 1806 and settled one and one half miles West of Barnesville.(section 28 of Warren Twp, Belmont Co.) The Grier family is also listed many times in the History of Barnesville Ohio by Dempsey O. Sheppard , M.D written in 1942. Both these books may still be available from a member of the Jr. Woman's Club of Barnesville. I will try to find out who is selling reprints of the books. nfogle@columbus.rr.com ----- Original Message ----- From: <ohbelmon-request@rootsweb.com> To: <ohbelmon@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2007 3:01 AM Subject: OHBELMON Digest, Vol 2, Issue 95 > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
