Hello, Hoping someone might have access to the Belmont Chronicle for 11 March of 1881 I am told there was an article in this paper for James Eddy who died in an accident at Aetna Mills in Belmont County. I would very much appreciate any help on this. Possibly giving me an idea where I could find this paper. I would be more than happy to pay for time and expense of getting a copy. Thanks in advance Cindy
That newspaper is probably on film, at the library in St. Clairsville. You might also want to check what is available on film at the Ohio Historical Society, in Columbus. I believe that their films might be available through interlibrary loan......if memory serves, they have an index of the films they have. http://www.ohiohistory.org/ Sandra " Hoping someone might have access to the Belmont Chronicle for 11 March of 1881 . Cindy, I have a subscription to Genealogybank.com and there is a more detailed news account of the child of Lee Eddy being crushed in the coal mine. It is in the 10 Feb 1883 issue of the Wheeling Register, page 14.
