Hi everyone, I am new to the list. I am looking for any help or information on two families that lived in the Belmont County, Ohio area. I know that John Williams and his wife Elizabeth (Stringer) Williams lived in the Pease area during the 1850 census. I know that John and Elizabeth married 1/28/1836. They had 8 children and before 1860 they moved to the Marshall County, West Virginia area. Their third child was Elizabeth Williams who was born about 1839 but does not show up in the Marshall County census. Elizabeth was a daughter of John Stringer and Elizabeth (?). From the 1850 census her sister Rebecca had moved in her and her husband. John was born about 1776 in PA and Elizabeth is said to have been born about 1781 in Jefferson County, Ohio. I am wondering if someone either knows something about either family (including Elizabeth Williams) or knows if there is a reliable listing of marriages in the early 1800's for the Belmont area or a complete cemetery listing including who is buried there for the county. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
