    1. [OHBELMON-L] Chester Co emigrants to Ohio
    2. Sandra Ferguson
    3. My family emigrated to Belmont from Chester Co, PA, and I've noticed, while researching my own family, that many others left Chester for Belmont too....I've always wondered what the attraction was. My own family owned a large successful farm and mill, so they weren't moving for land of their own. Although the family had been Quakers, arriving with Penn in the 1680 (Nicholas NEWLIN), this branch of the family were no longer Friends. I've always wondered why they left. So, check Chester Co, too, while looking in PA.
