Hi - Since so many of us are stuck on the Starkey family, do you think we could all put our Starkey information on this page so we can compare. We are all running in circles and if we could all put what we know to be true on, then we can perhaps eliminate a lot of work. The Starkey family seems to be in southern Belmont and northern Monroe Co. during the early 1800s and then most of them left. Several of us have a Starkey ancestor that just stops in Ohio and we don't know who the parents are, siblings or anything. I have tried the Starkey Surname pages and it gets us too far afield. I will start off with my problem Phoebe Starkey, born January 2, 1810, in PA (according to the census records). She was married on September 22, 1828, in Belmont Co., Ohio to Robeson/Robinson Lappin. Who are her parents? Who are her siblings? I know nothing more about her. From the naming of her children perhaps sisters named Eliza and Rachel. Maybe daughter of George or John as named sons these names.
