Robert Willis, John Willis, Israel (Isaac) Willis, William Willis, Polly Willis, Elijah Copeland and Kathryn his wife, Joseph Kinkaid and Eleanor, his wife, Jesse Smith and Elizabeth, his wife, and Kathryn Willis, all above of full age, and Evan Willis, Betsy Willis and Jane Willis, minors by their next friend and sister, Kathryn Willis, Samuel Corbitt and Kathryn, his wife, Hiram Jenkins, John Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, Elizabeth ann Jenkins, by their next friend and father, Jacob Jenkins - Versus Sarah Willis, widow, James Willis, George Willis, Sarah Willis, Joseph Willis, Robert Willis, children of James Willis, and wife of Robert Willis, son of William Willis and Robert Willis.( Will of Robert Willis on page 13.) Willis, son of George Willis, defendants in Chancery. Suit filed 16 June, 1830 - Robert Willis on the 10th odf Feb, 1830, was of unsound mind and incapable of disposing of his property by will. His property amounted to 10,000.00. That Robert Willis, through fraud of persons unknwn, executed a paper purporting to be his last will and testament. His children were your orators, Robert, John, Isaac, William, Polly, Catherine Copeland, Elinor Kincaid, Elizabeth Smith, and one James Willis. His grandchildren were Catherine Willis, Evan Willis, Betsy Willis, James Willis and one Robert Willis, children of one George Willis , son of the late Robert Willis now deceased. and also grandchildren Hiram Jenkins, John Jenkins, Catherine Corbet, Jacob Jenkins, and Robert Jenkins, children of his late daughter, Margaret Jenkins, now deceased, and Sarah Willis, widow. Will taken to probate at the March term 1830. Bequests made to some of the above named plus your orators (Robert Willis). Children William, Polly, and James Willis, and Elizabeth Smith and to children of said defendant, James Willis, George Willis, Sarah Willis, Robert Willis and Joseph Willis, and to Robert Willis, son of your orator William Willis, the Will is given on page 13. Answer of all the infants, those under 21 is on page 15, answer of Sarah Willis is on page 17. This suit continues to page 421. I found this in Belmont County a few months ago, and would like to think it might be my family, but My John Willis has a brother named Daniel, so it does not seem like these are mine.
