I recently did some searching in the German Evangelical Protestant church, now called Smithfield United Church of Christ, in Pittsburgh, PA. The records of this church have been microfilmed. The microfilmed records started in 1832 and go into the 1970s. The early records are in German. I found some info on one of my German families that was in Pittsburgh and then went to Washington Co & later Monroe & eventually Noble Co. Perhaps you had German ancestors that lived for a while in Pittsburgh before moving into Ohio. I saw the names of Veiock (=Feiock), Lambertus, Stoffel, Lang, Jacke (= Yockey) and several others. I am willing to check those records for info on your German families that possibly were in Pittsburgh before coming to Monroe/Noble/Washington/Belmont. The records contain baptisms/births, marriages & deaths. I need to have some names & dates from you (and your patience).
