    1. [OHBELMON-L] - VIRUS ALERT
    2. Sandra Ferguson
    3. I probably receive this twice a day.....along with the Microsoft patch to "use" to keep from getting virus, one reporting to come from my own server, and many, many more...I literally get, probably, a dozen a day. So, it is impossible to warn people about all those floating around..... The ONLY way people can protect themselves is to get a good antivirus software program and also NOT open ANY attachment from ANYONE, whether it reports to come from a company, your server, or your best friend. The only safe attachment is one that you KNOW you're going to be receiving! ALL others are suspect, because the virus of today forge their FROM addresses...... there is NO way to know, if you receive an email and an attachment, reporting to come from your mother, that it IS from your mother. It may well be a virus that has forged your mother's email address and used it.....so, open NOTHING you don't expect.....email your mother/friend, etc and ask if they have sent you something. That's the only way to be safe. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Saboley" <[email protected]> To: "Sandra Ferguson" <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 12, 2004 11:49 AM Subject: Re: *** SPAM *** Fw: [OHBELMON-L] Your Gift - VIRUS ALERT > I don't usually send these notices out, but this one was a bit unusual.
