Thieves Raid Local Cemetery Days Before Easter Dozens Of Decorative Vases Stolen POSTED: 12:00 a.m. EDT April 9, 2004 COLERAIN, OH -- Just days before Easter, thieves hit dozens of gravestones at a local cemetery. The Belmont County Sheriff's office is investigating the theft of 64 brass and copper flower vases from the Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain. The vases were a foot tall, and some had crosses on them. Because they are so heavy and there were so many stolen, police think the thieves used a truck to haul them away.
