This couple married in 1862 West Alexander, PA, but did not live there. They lived in Marshall Co. and Ohio Co., WV before moving to Belmont Co in the 1880's. Samuel B. SMITH was a CW Vet. Children of this couple: Anna - b 1864 Venora Henrietta "Nora" - b 1866 WV - m. Elsie CRISWELL Margaret - b 1868 Harriet - b 1869 Edward - b 1871 - m. ?Rose? ?surname? Effie - b 1873 Charles - b 1876 Alvin - b 1877 Mary Ethel - b 1882 OH - m. William EDWARDS Am still trying to find out the parents and siblings, if any, of Margaret Ann SCHOTT/SCHUTT/SHUTT SMITH. I've found a SHUTT family in Belmont Co on the 1850 Census with parents John and Catherine and these are the names I have as possibly the given names of Margaret's parents and there is a son, Henry, and a dau "Martha". I wonder if possibly this "Martha" is actually my Margaret - the age is right as is the birthplace, PA. I also have been coming up empty for additional information on the children other than "Nora" SMITH CRISWELL and Mary Ethel SMITH EDWARDS. I have a possibility for Edward SMITH on the 1910 and 1920 Belmont Co Census, but am not certain - nothing for the others. Any and all clues welcome.
