Is there any kind of death index for records in St. Clairsville? I understand early records are there, and not with the state? I have newly learned about my 4X great grandmother, Catherine (unk maiden) WELLS. In 1880, at age 76, she was living with her son William in Pultney Twp., and I'd guess she didn't live much longer than that. However, I have no idea what the actual date of death would be.
