    3. Hi Dave, Really nice of your to share this site. I have drifted into finding the Worls family of Belmont County and Wheeling area into which Ida May Worls Manley, my grandmother was born. Since I don't live in WV now, it is difficult to do my own research. I will try to give this site a try in the near future and let you know what I found. Thanks for sharing! Thompson and Roselle Vandyne. John W. Thompson was born in Monroe County, Ohio in December 1864, the son of William Thompson and Elizabeth (Ramsay) Thompson who later moved to Belmont County. John W. Thompson was first married to Lenora Belle Chancey of Roane County, West Virginia. He later married Roselle Vandyne, the daughter of Jacob Vandyne. I haven't been able to locate info when either one of them died with any degree of certainty or when his first wife died and I'm uncertain about John and Roselle's marriage date. I'm also looking for any information regarding John W. Thompson's son and Roselle's stepson William Cecil Thompson. Any help would be appreciated. Marriages, deaths, arrests, business dealings, etc. - comparable to the work that the Belmont OGS had done with the Belmont Chronicle, only better because you can download images of the actual articles. It appears to be related to the Americcan Antiquarian Society, which offers the database through certain libraries. http://www.readex.com/readex/index.cfm?content=145 According to the AAS site they will eventually have 1874-1922 of the Wheeling Register available. I don't plan to be a subscriber for multiple months, but it was the best $20 I've spend on genealogy in a long time. Hope you find it fruitful! --------------------------------- How low will we go?
