    3. Hi I have been trying to find the parents of Hamilton Bailey. Some information has been provided to me by listers that has been interesting but I have not been able to tie it down. According to the IGI, there was a Hamilton Bailey, born in Glencoe, Belmont County, Oct. 6, 1804. According to family information, this is the correct person but the place of birth is wrong. I know of the site that has tax lists for Belmont County back to 1811 or so. Can anyone tell me where I might find information on Bailey settlers from the 1804 time frame, in Belmont County? Thanks one and all Bill Dalton

    3. I have EARLY TAX RECORDS, by Esther Powell, and it contains the 1806 and 1810 tax returns for Belmont Co. on the 1806; Benjamin and John Bailey (no twps listed on the 1806) on the 1810; Benjamin Baily - Pease twp David Baily Pease twp Michigan Bailey Wheeling twp I looked in the McKelvey CENTENNIAL HISTORY OF BELMONT, to see if I could find Hamilton...no luck...and, there are probably close to 75 Baileys in the index, so it appears to be a very common area name. Sandra I have been trying to find the parents of Hamilton Bailey.
