    2. That is incorrect. ANYONE can vote. I've had folks in California tell me they voted successfully. I hope you'll take the time to vote for the cemetery project if those are your convictions. www.aroundrr.com/SaveOurHistory Anthony ---- Chuck Kentch <ckentch@wcenet.com> wrote: > On the voting site it says you may vote if you are a "central Ohioan." > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <acoyan@adelphia.net> > To: <ohbelmon@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Friday, April 20, 2007 9:22 AM > Subject: [OHBELMON] James Cemetery restoration project > > > > Fellow genealogists and anyone concerned with preserving our sacred > cemeteries, > > > > Time Warner and The History Channel are sponsoring a 'Save Our History' > grant > > award for which people can go online and cast their vote. 3. Audrey, My Peter Dillon may well follow along the same path as your John Greer Sr. My Peter Dillon (we think) was born c1754 in Northern Iroeland, resettled to New Jersey during the American Revolution and resettled to Washington/Greene Co., PA by 1790. I have struggled to find information specific to Peter Dillon, prior to 1790. How or where did you find information suggesting John Greer was born in Northern Ireland? His vessel of passage from N. Ireland to New Jersey? His port of entry into the U.S? Thanks. Henry S. Dillon DILLON FAMILY GENEALOGY http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=hsdillon Henry S. Does anyone know of a Sarah Crabtree that could possibly be buried in Smyrna? I don't have a death date but am thinking it is after 1919 as I know she was living then. 2. Fellow genealogists and anyone concerned with preserving our sacred cemeteries, Time Warner and The History Channel are sponsoring a 'Save Our History' grant award for which people can go online and cast their vote. Voting ends on April 27th, so time is short. Our Jackson Ohio cemetery restoration project was the only OGS genealogy chapter or cemetery project to be chosen as one of the five finalists, so I truly hope that you will go to the Time Warner website and cast your vote for the James Cemetery project. If awarded this grant, we will use 100% of the grant to begin installing an antique-style aluminum alloy fence around the perimeter in order to help halt further desecration of this sacred and historic burial ground. You can read more about our James Cemetery project at the Time Warner 'Save Our History' voting website. Please unite with us as a group of people concerned about the ever-increasing destruction of our cemeteries by VOTING for us at the website below. 1. [OHBELMON] Gallaugher marriage/divorce
    2. Hi All, I'm hoping something may have turned up during the moving/cleaning of the records. I have a James H GALLAUGHER (1809-1863) who was married 4 Mar 1830 Belmont Co to Elizabeth BLAZER. The probate court entry states there is a certificate on file as to his age by his MOTHER. (He would not have been 21 until Dec of 1830.) Are the certificates available in any way, shape or form? Also, I wrote many years ago to the Clerk of Courts (Common Pleas Court) asking for a copy of a divorce listed in the Fedorchak book as being Elizabeth C Gallaugher from Thomas in the Oct 1826 term of the court, Appearance Docket 1:63. They did not send that, and also added that the packet was no longer available. If that packet or case entry could be found, it might list any children who were underage at the time. I'm hoping these could be the parents of the above James (who would have been about 17 at the time), and that is why his mother filed with the court as to his age--usually it would have been the father. I'd be more than happy to pay for copies, postage and time if someone has the opportunity to check for these records. Thanks...Tacy in CO ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

I am hoping some kind soul could tell me where would be the best place to stay to work on this research and also the best places to look for Belmont County genealogical records. We have a very large motor home 45ft pulling a tow, so I am hoping there are campgrounds available in the area you might suggest to begin my search. Thank you so much for your time and trouble.
