    1. Deliquent Taxes 1846 Belmont County & Barnesville Boys Serving in World War I
    2. Thanks to Jim, we have the Deliquent Tax List for 1846 for Belmont County posted to the web site as well as a listing of Barnesville Boys who were serving in WWI. Neither is alphabetical, so you'll have to really read them. I tried to make them large print (at 55 I can use all the help I can get). _http://members.cox.net/barnesgen/Barnesville.html_ (http://members.cox.net/barnesgen/Barnesville.html) is the site. 1. Spam rephrase
    2. I posted earlier that I posted information to another list and there was a person that hit SPAM to my email...I wanted to clarify that to the list. I have with my server a button that I can click if I feel that the email I have received is in deed SPAM. I just theorized that the person that was upset with my posting of information had the same since I got an email stating that someone had reported my email as SPAM. I should have been more considerate of the person that did not like my posting to the list. SPAM is such a convenient item to many to generalize something that is not wanted in an email. Most lists are set up that the individual has to sign up to receive email from other subscribers to the list and there is a moderator of that list that monitors such activity. This eliminates most automatic SPAM, so it is rare that something like that should pop up on a list such as rootsweb or others similar. I myself try to adhere to the criteria of the list. Sometimes such as this email I get a bit sidetracked due to the content or comments by others. I try to refrain from such conversations but I felt passionate about this to make it known that some servers actually do send warning out to the email addressee and the address is placed on a "black list" as I had to combat this many many times at work. This blocks the person from sending emails out to people and it is rather a pain to get it resolved. That was the ONLY reason that I spoke so adamantly about it. Sorry if I have offended or bothered anyone on this this with the ranting about this topic but if you feel that this email is Spam please hit your delete button. 3. I also like seeing what you are posting. It takes a lot of work and time for you to do this, and I for one really appreciate it!! If it doesn't have anything to do with what I am looking for, and I am not interested, then I just delete it. This was a particularly hard one to do, the copy is weak and there are all kinds of abbreviations that I was afraid I would get mixed up with the names-so if you see one that is wrong let me get it corrected. The whole point in this is to get these names out there so they can be found. . The other thing is don’t be afraid to email me if something is out of order. I literally had to copy this on to 8 ½ x 11 paper, then line all the papers up the way it would have been in the newspaper edition, tape these together, then cut them into articles. It’s possible some of this is going to be out of sync because I didn’t have time to read all of it as I was pasting and cutting! . If you find a name of interest go to the above reference web site and check out the page. One name may be listed several times on the same page. Email me if you need a copy or have problems.
