    3. Hi! Noticed your bit about Antioch Cemetery - would you mind scanning for any Hamiltons or Edington's in that cemetery? I'm looking for Mary Margaret Hamilton Edington who was married to John W Edington. Mary's parents would have been Thomas & Mary Morrow Hamilton. I don't have dates, but Mary Margaret married John W Edington in 1863 - I'm thinking John W died about 1870 - perhaps in the Civil War. Thanks in advance, Nancy Peoria, IL

    1. [OHBELMON-L] Marriage Bonds
    2. Hi, In the book "Belmont County Before 1830" there is mention of marriage bonds as well as marriage records. How do I get a record of these marriage bonds? Who would have this information at the courthouse? I am interested in the marriage bonds of Joseph Powel and Mary Brook and Joshua Powel and Sarah Way both marriages in 1808. If there are marriage bonds as the book states, then bondsmen or a bondsman should be listed on each marriage bond, isn't that right? Any information about these marriage bonds would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!! Charlotte Lewin macslewin@aol.com

I explored this site briefly and think it would take a bit of delving to come up with these last newspaper items, it didn't jump out at me, but I didn't give it much time. Maybe it will work for you.
