The Census INDEX (FTM CD 20) shows: Susan Johnson, Pultney Twp pg 257B Abram Johnson, Pultney Twp pg 257B James Johnson, Pultney Twp gp 206D George Johnson, Pultney Twp pg 231 C There are six Johns', none in that twp. Without further information, it appears that James has died. A look at the actual film would provide more details. I am interested as have about 20 different families I am working on in Monroe Co., Ohio and I hope they will consider reprinting it. Perhaps we can ask for pre-orders to see if enough people are interested. I think a reprint is faster to print than putting together a new volume of someone's work. Monroe Co., Ohio Genealogical Society has done a terrific job of getting Catharine Fedorchak's research work printed and reprinted and I don't want to take away from this as most is new material from the woman's many many years of research. I owe a great deal to Fedorchak's work and I know there are about 6 or 7 more volumes of her work to be published. Let's work for this too. Jerilyn
Does anyone have a Census for 1870 in Monroe Co.? I'm looking for the family of Robert Dailey & Harriet Hanna Hasman (or Harshman) or a widow, Elizabeth Harshman, probably in Summit Twp. Nancy Peoria, IL
Is anyone interested in getting a copy of this book published in 1992 for Monroe County OH?

Regarding Broderbund CDs in general, whenever I've ordered OH CDs (ie. marriages, vital statistics), there's nothing on them from Belmont Co. Does anyone know of any that do show Belmont Co? Sharon
Hey Gang, We all need to inform our fellow researchers of Broderbund's census information. 1) At GenealogyLibrary.com, the 1810 census information they present transposes the male and female columns. By that I mean, the first five numbers they show are for females, the second five numbers are for male. This is contrary to the actual census reports that list the males in the first five columns and the females in the second five columns. 2) I just learned today that Broderbund's CD312, Census Index for Selected US Counties, 1800, also has the male and female columns transposed. As a result of these findings, I would consider any Broderbund products that list census reports from 1800 to 1840 to be suspect at best. Please pass this information on to your fellow researchers. I sent an e-mail to Broderbund when I found the errors in the 1810 index, I received no response. This does not make their information useless, you simply have to reverse the columns. Rick Monroe
By mistake, I recieved (from Ohio Historical Society) a death certificate for Joseph Crozier. We have a Joseph Crozier, but this one isn't ours. The Joseph Crozier on the certificate died in Richland Twp, Belmont Co. at the County Home. According to the certificate, he was born 11 Nov 1851; died 31 Dec 1933 aged 82 yrs 1 mos 20 dys. He was white and widowed and his occupation was a Butcher. No information is stated for parents and the informant was Frank P Caldwell, Supt (I assume of the County Home). Burial information states he was buried 3 Jan 1934 at Rose Hill. If this is of interest to you, send me an email & I'll scan & email the certificate to you. Nancy Peoria, IL
Does anyone out there have a 1880 Census for Belmont, CO? I am trying to find John Johnson or Johnston age 58 married to a Susan or Susannah Day age 57. Some of there children were James W. age 30 in 1880, A.J. or Abraham age 25 and George Samuel age 24. I know that George migrated to Belmont sometime between 1870 and 1885 . He married an Annie McKirahan and they had one son in Bellaire- John William Johnston b 25 Aug 1885. Thanks in advance if you can help with this. Sally Havens-ChytownSal@aol.com
Looking for any info on Robert Dailey or Hannah Hashmon in Monroe Co. about 1850. Don't remember what info the 1850 Census shows, but would anyone have access that would be willing to lock up this Robert Dailey in Seneca Twp. page 268? Also, looking for Ms Hashmon's family - I believe could be Henry Hashmon, listed in 1850 Census in Hamilton Co, Cincinnati 3rd Ward, page 270. Robert & Hannah sired Massie Dailey who married 1) Adam Sherman in Monroe Co. (1872), then John W Bumgardner in Belmont Co. (1885). Don't know if Adam Sherman died or they divorced. I'd be ever so grateful to any info on these people. Nancy Albritton Peoria, IL
Mary, You sent me a query from the Ohio county, WV site, asking for lookups concerning these people, which I did...and, I included other spellings for the name McCullough, more common ones for the area, etc....I never heard from you....did you receive the information? When someone doesn't acknowledge an email it's impossible for the sender to know if it actually arrived or not. I have a CD of Ohio marriages 1798-1850, and there is no marriage listed for a David Brooks and a Esther McCulloch.
